The purpose of the United States in World War Two can be seen through a multi-faceted lens. Primarily, the US joined the war to defend its national security interests against aggressor nations such as Germany and Japan. The Pearl Harbor attack was a turning point that compelled America to fully engage in the conflict.

Additionally, there was a moral imperative for the US to intervene and prevent further atrocities committed by Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan, especially considering their growing influence and territorial expansion. Being one of the strongest industrial powers in the world at that time, another significant purpose for America's involvement was to protect international trade routes vital for economic stability.

Furthermore, from a geopolitical standpoint, it was crucial for the US to ensure a post-war balance of power, safeguard democratic values, and prevent any single nation from dominating Europe or Asia. Overall, the US in World War Two was driven by the need to protect national security interests, promote democracy globally, defend human rights against tyranny, and create a stable world order after winning the war.

The purpose of the US in World War 2 was to defend democracy and freedom, and to protect its own national security. The US joined the war after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, and fought against the Axis powers (Germany, Italy, and Japan) alongside its allies to defeat tyranny and aggression. Additionally, the US aimed to shape the post-war world order and promote its own interests and values.
