goods were transported by post of ships to different countries across the world. =]

Transport was coaches or carts onland and boats and ships on water, contrary to what has been said above, we did not transport goods from the UK it was a time of discovery across the world. So we were more in the mode of bringing goods to us than the other way round. In fact Sir Walter Raleigh and Sir francis Drake were more pirates than sailors. It was a very exciting time

If you were poor, you had to walk. If you were in any other class of society, you could use coaches(horse drawn wagons).
