Short term effest of the new deal were that it created jobs for people to have instead of being homless. different agiencies were established to help people out, some even working to today. Agiencies provided jobs for people. some jobs were as minor as raking leaves, or as big as building dams. People with different talents were hired and this provided jobs for millions. The long term effects were the things that the people made such as dams, courts, schools, and other buildings that people used to make jobs. The dams in particular provided elictricity that powered huge factories that rose up in the Northwest such as Boeing. These dams provided more energy for people to use in seatle than new yok did. People were incouraged to use electricite in the Northwest.
