What were the first measures taken by the Nazis against the Jews?

In April 1933 the Nazis:

  1. Organized a boycott of Jewish businesses in Berlin.
  2. Banned most Jews from employment in the public sector and dismissed those already working in the public sector.
  3. Banned Jews from acting and from running theatres.
  4. Expelled most Jews from universities and colleges.
  5. Banned Jews from the media.

This was the start of a hailstorm of anti-Jewish decrees.
