The most important event was that west met the east and the Europeans gained access to the information that was kept by the Arabs and the Byzantines and that knowledge lead to the birth of Renaissance

There were intra-faith disturbances among the Christians. Militarism and feudalism reigned rather than peace and truce in God's name.
