Mahatma Gandhi started Non-Cooperation against the British in 1920. The British were against the interests of the Indians and were deteriorating their economy. They were also creating disharmony among the Hindus and the Muslims. Mahatma Gandhi then started the Non-Cooperation Movement so that it would become impossible for the british to run the administration. The people soon adopted this movement and it became part and parcel of the nationalist movement.
