she will pur and you will see the kittens moving in her stomache and be able to feel the kittens bodies yeah well my cat is really fat and kittens movingbut when are the other signs though??:S
When my cat Willow went into labour first her waters broke. I'd say within 30 minutes or so she was having contractions. A few weeks previousely id put some sheets in a large box and kept putting her in it so she knew it was her bed. When her contractions started i put her in the box and that was about as much as I did. She was amazing, they have a natural instinct and she didnt need any help. She had 7 kittens altogether who grew into healthy cats. However my other cat, Tilly had problems with her pregnancy. Although she was 2 yrs old she was only small and so when the time came I had to take her to the vets and it was clear she was struggling. She only had one kitten but she knew striaght away how to look after him.
I wouldn't worry to much about the labour id just make sure a bed is prepared and keep a close eye that she doesnt try to move them outside or to a place you cant access to check on them.
Take care
The mother Cat has the baby and when the kitten(s) are born they have their eyes closed. In about 2-3 weeks the kitten(s) will have their eyes open!
They will warm their kittens right away and feed them. They will care for them.
If it's a cat, the mother licks it until it's warm, then it suckles the mother's milk.
