If you over charge it simply won't work properly .if it's capillary ( small tube going to evaporator (bit that blows cold air into cabinet) then it is critical charge . So whatever the charge weight on the plate indicates that's what it needs . If it's expansion again it needs to be within 10% otherwise pressures all go to pot as well as cooling . Novices think over charge won't do it no harm , but it will in the long run as the compressor will work harder , and depending on overcharge the liquid may get to the compressor and that's when damage is done . My advice always on small systems is reclaim , vacuum out system , recharge new weight .

What if you over charge an auto ac system?

you can press the pressure release valve until you have evacuated the refrigerant sufficient enough so that it won't be overcharged.

How do you add refrigerant to f-250?

Before you try to charge the system, there are couple things you should know about, what type of system, the capacity, and the oil charge and type if you need to add oil.A under or over charge system can cause problems.

Can refrigerant charge be too high?

Yes. An ac system will not work properly if over charged.Yes. An ac system will not work properly if over charged.

Can a Nintendo 3DS over charge?

no, when the 3ds is charging it will charge until he has full charge and then he will stop charging, so you can leave your 3ds at charge at night and nothing will happen to him except he will be charged of course

What is the function of condencer in refrigerator?

Any refrigeration system (home air conditioner, refrigerator, automotive air conditioner...) uses the evaporation cycle of the refrigerant to remove heat from an object. The evaporation cycle of refrigeration systems is as follows:Refrigerant is compressed by the compressor. When the refrigerant is compressed the heat is forced into a smaller volume, raising the temperature of the refrigerant. The hotter refrigerant is then passed through a cooling coil, also called a condenser and air is passed across the hot coils, cooling the compressed refrigerant to room temperature, or close. The refrigerant, now under much higher pressure then changes state from a gas to a liquid. The refrigerant is then allowed to pass through an orifice, allowing the compressed refrigerant to expand. When the refrigerant expands it changes back to a gas, the temperature drops. The process is called "heat of vaporization".The chilled refrigerant is then passed through an expansion coil where something (air, water... whatever is being refrigerated) gets cooler. From there, the refrigerant is again compressed, starting the cycle over.As you can see, the condenser is essential to the refrigeration process. If the condenser develops a leak, the refrigerant is lost. If the condenser is kinked, refrigerant cannot get past. If air is blocked from passing over the condenser, the refrigerant cannot be cooled.

What is the function of suction valve in refrigeration system?

Once the fluid travels through the radiator on the back of the refrigerator, the valve will open and use the force of the piston retracting to suck the fluid into the compressor, where the pressure will cool the refrigerant over again.

What type of refrigerant is used on a 1992 infinity g20?

you can buy the right refrigerant over the counter at checker auto or auto zone, the correct refrigerant is 134a

How do you add refrigerant to 1993 escort?

Your year of Escort takes R 12 refrigerant. It is no longer available in 14 oz cans. It does come in 20 lb. bulk. In 1994 Ford Escorts went to R-134a refrigerant which will not harm the ozone layer. Kits are made to change the earlier systems which take R12 over to R-134a which mainly involves changing the charge ports. You could take it to an A/C shop and they could recharge it with R12 or you could change the ports over and get a kit at the parts place to recharge it yourself. Detailed instructions come with the R134a charge kits.

Does an executor have the final say in all that happen?

They are pretty much in charge of the estate. Only the court can over ride the executor.

Why would a 2003 Ford Taurus air conditioner work properly for about an hour and then quit only to work again an hour later?

Low of refrigerant R134. Coils or cabin filter (if equipped) can also be clogged, blocking airflow, which will cause unit to ice over and block air flow. Have the refrigerant charge checked by a pro.
