Truthfully, I am not sure we really want to do that. While our Founding Fathers were certainly visionaries, they were also creatures of their era. If we turned America back to the way they looked at things, women would not be able to vote, slavery would be permitted, and even free black people would not be full citizens. Also, the second amendment would be interpreted to refer only to the military ("a well-regulated militia"), rather than to ordinary citizens.
On the other hand, despite what conservative politicians on the campaign trail like to claim, America really has lived up to our Founders' vision: to cite one example, we are one of the few countries that has enshrined religious freedom, freedom of speech, and freedom of the press into our constitution; and while it is common political rhetoric to claim we are "losing our freedom," the truth is we have as much, if not more, freedom than in those early years of our republic.

to unite America and have under one government
While the intentions of the founding fathers are discussed even today in modern history, it is certain their intentions were far from creating the government enjoyed by Americans today. Finally escaping the tyranny of England's monarchy, the founding fathers were not receptive of a strong central government. States expressed their own interests at the Constitutional Convention of 1787. The original intent of America before this was a loose confederation of states. However, this system lacked a method of taxation, effective interstate commerce, or a standing army. In the Federalist era, thinkers like Alexander Hamilton sought a more federalist style of government in which a strong central government united the states and oversaw the nation's operation.

Someone might want to meet Thomas Jefferson because he was one of the founding fathers of the United States and played a significant role in shaping the country. As the principal author of the Declaration of Independence and the third President of the United States, Jefferson's ideas and contributions to American democracy are noteworthy. Additionally, meeting him could provide valuable insights into his political philosophy, intellect, and vision for the nation.
