In Italian, it's pronounced "fran - CHAY - zay," which means "in the French manner."
Chicken Marsala is traditionally made with Marsala Wine. But If you want to use Sherry wine. Buy the best one you can afford, the same for the Marsala ( It's an Italian sweet wine ) I recommend trying the Marsala. I say always when cooking with wine use the best stuff you can afford. The better the wine the better the flavor.

No, because moscato is a sweet white wine, and marsala is a dry red wine.

"French" is an English word. The Italians use "Francese" for French.
Any... It depends on the chicken.. But a lot of people put white and red wine.. Also when you are cooking people but spices on the chicken before they put the wine on and put they spices on and wine before it goes in the oven... So you get to pick what kind off wine you want to put on your chicken.. P.S. don't put wine on fried chicken just a tip..
It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If you don't want wine because of the alcohol, you could use stock (chicken, vegetable or beef) If you need the sugar that is in the wine, you could use apple juice.
White wine would typically be served with chicken, unless it has ben prepared with a lot of spices.
You can use equal parts dry sherry/pale sherry wine; not the cooking wine... the drinking wine. :)
It would depend upon the other foods being served with the chicken as side dishes, but by most opinions, red wine is usually served with chicken.
All chicken marsala recipes have the same main ingredients. All chicken marsala recipes use herbed chicken breasts in marsala wine and mushroom sauce as the main ingredients in common.
