Practically, proactively and sympathetically is the way that Oedipus reacts to the priest's words in "Oedipus Rex" by Sophocles (495 B.C.E. - 405 B.C.E.).Specifically, Oedipus tells the priest of Zeus that he already knows about and sympathizes with the sufferings of his people from the effects of the pestilence. Even before meeting with the priest, he takes the immediate, practical, proactive step of contacting the oracle.
He says, "Go in the peace of Christ," or "The Mass is ended, go in peace," or "Go in peace to love and serve the Lord." We respond by saying, "Thanks be to God!"
The abstract nouns are melancholy (an emotion) and politics (a concept). The nouns 'priest' and 'philosopher' are concrete nouns as words for a person.
History does not have a written record of who first used "before Christ". You can figure it could have been a monk or Catholic priest because they started up the calendar with AD and BC designations.
Yes, "priest-king" is a hyphenated noun. The two words are part of a joint title.

There is no such thing.
The wedding ceremony was usually held at the father of the bride's house. There had to be typically at least ten witnesses to the ceremony to make it legal. The bride and groom stood before a priest and held hands. The bride had agreed to the wedding by appearing in public holding hands with her future husband. She also had to consent to the marriage during the ceremony by saying words of consent in public. These words were a chant, and were the same words for all brides and grooms. The bride would say: "Quando tu Gaius, ego Gaia." (When you are Gaius, I then am Gaia.) After the words of consent, the bride and groom sat on stools, facing the altar. An offering was made to the god Jupiter, which was usually a cake. Once the priest had made the offering, this cake was eaten by the bride and groom. However this was the very elaborate marriage ceremony called "confarreatio" .There were also less elaborate marriage ceremonies such as the "coemptio" the "sine manu" and the "usus", each with their own terms and customs.
