first shop online for your own parts you can get vette brake package deals, a garage will charge you double what he pays for the parts ex cost him 500 cost you 1000. make sure you buy stainless lined rebuilt calipers as they have pitting problems on the original this causes air to get in system and you get a sort spongy pedal. bring your parts to a good reputable shop you may have to pay a bit more labor because you are bringing parts. total labor should be between 5 or 6 hours times his hourly rate. you might need brake hoses being the car is 33 trs old. get prices up front or estimate by law he must come within 15 percent of estimate don't be surprised about frozen or rotted brake lines. remember a professional will not let a car go out with bad brakes

What is an estimate to repair brakes in Jeep Grand Cherokee?

They try to beat you over the head with brakes by changing the Rotos and calipers but they don't always need it. If you have a friend that's a halfway decent mechanic can do it for less than $30.00 (If the rotors aren't messed up). Otherwise, a shop will charge $300.00 - $400.00.

What should a brake job cost on a 1994 Escort?

Usually Just Brakes will charge $99 sometimes more if rotors or calipers are damaged = Front Brakes & Rotors = I just had mine replaced (14" Rotors), cost me $74.23 for the parts. 2 New Rotors, and 4 pads. Now changing them is a different story. My 1996 pads are mounted on tracks, that slide left and right. Held by 2 pins each. Really scary, especially if they are half-frozen.

How much would it cost to replace both front brake calipers on a 1999 Honda CRV?

If you are doing it yourself, the best pricing I've found for parts is at www.rockauto.com - you can buy semi-loaded or fully-loaded (with pads) calipers there. Installation is quite simple but you'll probably have to get the rotors (discs) resurfaced too, which would mean removing them and taking them to a brake shop. If the rotors are under sized (too badly worn) you will have to replace them. You can also buy replacement rotors at the same place as the calipers. Doing it yourself, call around to different auto parts stores to get prices. A repair shop that specializes in brake repair will charge anywhere from about $500.00 to $900.00. The trouble here is finding a shop that you can trust.
