door switch.
I had a bad door switch on my minivan, and it did the same thing, acting like the door was open even though it was latched tight.
I was able to jury rig it by putting a small self adhesive bumper (like on the bottom of a computer or VCR) on the door frame where the switch contacts, to push in the switch a little further so it would make contact. Works for a few weeks until a new switch is available.
AnswerThe interior lights are on a timer circuit like the head light sentenial. It could be that the componets are breaking down or perhaps there is an adjustment somewhere that needs tweeking. My head light sentinial went bad and the head lights stayed on all of the time until I pulled the fuse. JackThe most likely reason why the interior lights of a vehicle are not working is because a fuse has blown. That is especially true if all of them are not working. Get out your owners manual. See where the fuse box is located. Find the particular fuse, and replace it.
It controls most of the interior electronics such as lights, wipers, locks, theft alarm, etc.
The rain can come into the trunk through the tail lights for some reason. I have the same problem on mine.

Most vehicles have the instrument panel light brightness level and the interior courtesy lights [on or off] controlled by the same switch, which usually is a "rotary" type. The on/off function of the instrument panel lights is usually "tied" in with the parking and headlight off/on push-pull switch. The reason for having this additional, manual method of control for the interior courtesy lights is to allow use of the courtesy lights WITHOUT having to open one of the doors. When the parking or headlights are on, clockwise rotation of the headlight switch knob, increases the brightness of the instrument panel lights. Just before full clockwise rotation of the knob, there is a "detent," which if passed, turns on the interior courtesy lights. Full COUNTERclockwise rotation of the knob dims the instrument panel lights to the point of extinguishment, but to my knowledge, full counterclockwise rotation DOES NOT turn on the interior courtesy lights. j3h.

Certainly. There's no connection between their respective causes, so no reason that they should or shouldn't occur at the same time.
Check if the fuse for your interior lights isn't blown. On many cars the Door Ajar light will come on when there's no power to the interior lights. The dashlight then grounds itself through the interior lights. It depends on the car made. for example Taurus, just lubricate(real good) the lock with wd40, will take care of the problem. some cars have sensors will lock automatically when you close door then will LOCK automatically. if one of the locks is jamed the ajar warning come on. Easiest way lubricate all doors lock you will fine. Good luck
The most common reason that coolant leaks into the interior of a vehicle is a leaking heater core.
The only reason that I have heard of for insulating interior walls was for sound deadening efforts. There is no heat gain or loss advantage to insulating interior walls.
The Blazer has a two possible systems One: DRL Daytime running lights Lights that stay on during the day at a lower voltage level and Two: Twilight sentinel Headlight come on when day turns to dusk You cant shut either system off without losing something else, like interior lights, dash lights or brake lights Pull fuse 15 on the fuse block on the dashboard
FALSE: gravity cannot force magma upwards, gravity can olny force downwars. the reason magma shoots from the earths interior is because the pressure from the magma trying to push through the force gravity causes an eruption.
