This is just a shot in the dark , but is it parked outside where it is in the shade in the morning and gets sun on it in the afternoon ? Is it " damp " in the morning ? I only ask because once on a 1982 it would only crank but not fire up . I took my can of WD 40 with the spray tube and carefully sprayed a little on the top of my distributor cap. When I tried to start it , it fired right up and I went and bought a new distributor cap and rotor and installed those , that cured the problem
