When the radiator water level gets low the heater will stop working. 01 Blazer is notorius for leaking coolant into the crankcase through the intake manifold gaskets. The Gaskets are made of a cheap PLASTIC material that will begin to disintegrate within 100,000 miles, then will quietly and undetectably begin to leak coolant into the crank case, the cylinders, or both. High potential to ruin an engine. If your water level gets low in an 01 Blazer and you can't see it dripping out anywhere, check the oil immediately! These are throw away vehicles - best to get rid of before 100K if possible and never buy a GM small or mid size vehicle again. If you think these are bad, wait till Pelosi and Obama start to design GM's.
