Lack of coolant in the radiator. Fan not working. Not enough oil.
check your thermostat
Possibly the pressure cycling switch.
The thermistat could be bad, check to make sure the fan is kicking on.

Lots of reasons, but mine was the fuel pump was bad. It would overheat after driving maybe 15 minutes, then I would let the car stop for an hour or two and it would start back up.

there are a few things that will cause this, relay or fuse to ac blown, if low on freon ac will not work. check and see if clutch on ac motor works. if not its the relay.
