1. Check for codes.
2. If no codes replace IAC (Inexpensive).
3. If not IAC, run smoke test...it's probably intake manifold gasket.
4. If its neither, take to a mechanic...could be fuel pump, distributor...the list goes on.
replace your Idle control valve. Go to NAPA and get a new one, then replace it.
