an idling diesel engine or snoring :]
you are flooding the engine
a dirty air filter or a dirty fuel filter will cause a diesel to smoke
most likely it's a bad thermostat, or your vents not working properly.
During acceleration? I'm not sure. But when both idling and acceleration the engine's combustion can cause a lot of vibration in the steering wheel if you are in an older vehicle.
Are you sure that your oil pressure is good and have you checked it with a mechanical gauge? I think that is where your problem will be found. Take your car to a repair shop and ask them for a diagnosis.
Possibly due to engine mount

first you dont have a carb... did it start after you did anything to the motor (plug wires) you might have them crossed look online at shbox.com (best camaro info site ever) for the proper order if it just started outa the blue its prob the opti(pancake distributor on the front of the engine) or maybe a burnt intake valve

Any number of things: Bad spark plugs, dirty fuel filter, dirty injectors, and on, and on, and on.
It's not a part, there are parts... First of ECU, then EGR valve, idle control valve, MAP sensor, oxygen sensor.

Spend the money to have it diagnosed by a repair shop as it will save you plenty.
