On mine it was the Intake Manifold gasket .Not just the top plentum but the one under that .Cost about 8.00 for the gaskets.Run the engine codes and if it says misfire on a plug then that could be it .
Could also be a clogged fuel filter, a bad Idle Air Control sensor (which can be cleaner with carb cleaner), or a faulty EGR valve which I was recently told by an old timer at NAPA that they rarely fail....And for me just recently it was the most obvious, faulty plug wires...but for $10 for some plugs and $20 and change for the ignition wires, I'd fully explore that before moving forwards with sensors...they're electronic, meaning no returns to the autoparts store...sucks!
A leaking fuel rail is the normal cause.
i had the same problem with my 02 intrepid it was the idler pulley to the ac belt $19 to fix it.
After repairing the cause of the code, you clear the code with a scan tool.
perhaps failing oil pump caused engine damage
The reason why it is vibrating is cause of the Engine Mounts. You have to get the Engine Mounting changed ! cheers.
Could be a bad head gasket. You would get engine oil leaking into the cylinder heads and that would show as smoke out the tail pipe.
It will cause those and eventually will shut down your engine until the filter is changed or cleaned.
Find the leak, and fix the cause.
you have to find where the leak is first.
The cam belt should be changed on a Mitsubishi Triton diesel engine when it becomes worn down. If it wears down too thin, it can break and cause driving issues.
could be a faulty thermostat don't over heat it to often you'll end up blowing your heads gaskets drive safe
yes it can. i had a 2004 ford mustang that kept reading that the camshaft position sensor was the cause. Changed the cps and still same code. changed alternator and the code cleared itself!
