What would cause a bad smell when car is running and bog when you accelerate and also rough idle. I changed computer TPS sensor plugs and wires O2 sensor coolant temp sensor on a 89 Cavalier Z24 3.1?

The cat is my guess, i have a 96' Firebird, and my car had a HUGE loss of power, it was a bad cat, what happens is the cat gets clogged from unburned gases, particle buildup, pretty much anything can clog it, it can be caused from misfires, no fire from one cylinder, lots of things.
