spark plugs need changing- ignition wires could be changed- put octane boost into your gas, or fuel injection cleaner.

Most likely is your intake manifold, very common in Pontiac Grand Am, usually around 100,000Km.....pricey item(about $1,200, just find a good mechanic) but once it is fixed yu have a great car.
