the brake switch is just above the pedal.they are usually white. when you depress the pedal it opens the switch and when you take your foot off the pedal it closes the switch.

Most likely a motor mount. Or axle shaft.
Have someone go in the car and press the pedal and have another look at the side thats working to determine this.
