My 2000 Impala had been jerking right before it stalled. First, it was just jerking with no stalling, it got progressively worse. I recently got the fuel filter replaced and it hasn't stalled again.

If you are talking about the accelerator travel sensor it is part of the gas pedal. It has two bolts that mounted to the floor you replace the panel and all it is one unit
An Improper WIPE.. will cause a skid Too much pressure on the gas pedal or brake pedal can cause a skid.

To bleed the brakes on a 2002 impala, have a helper pump the brake pedal then hold it down. Open the bleeder valve at one wheel, and let air and fluid flow until the pedal goes to the floor. Close the valve and repeat. When there is no air in the fluid, then move to the next wheel and repeat.

The pedal needs to be greased with good ole WD-40 where the pedal goes into the firewall.
The throttle position sensor is mounted on the throttle body. the throttle position sensor on a 2006 chevy impala is an electronic plug mounted to the gas pedal. I just worked on one. If u need a new one u have to buy the whole assembly. gas pedal and all.
