It has seen better days. Replace it.
It is getting no fuel. Possibly bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, or fuel regulator defective.
Poor ground connection.
fuel filter, fuel pump, injector driver, throttle linkage....
It is possible. Replace the filter and see if the symptoms disappear.
it has a machanical fuel pump mounted on the engine. so there would be no pressure as you turn the ignition on, but would only get pressure once the engine has turned a few times, by the starter motor, in order to create fuel pressure. but check your fuel lines, usually they would be your problem
The only things that would cause this are all bad fuel leak safety problems. Have it checked and repaired before it catches fire!
I would make sure you have a good ground on the relay and the pump. Weak or poor grounds will often show themselves as sporadic operation.
Yes the relay will still click you could have blown a fuse that is for the pump, the relay on some models of engine is to only heat the fuel quickly for faster starting
i am not a mechanic but i would check to see the wires at the fuel pump have not been reversed, secondly i would check the power wire is not earthing out somewhere along the line because only a dead short can cause a fuse to blow. jacken.
try the fuel pump assembly instead
Sounds like plugged fuel filter or some kind of blockage in fuel lines or carb. floats sticking.
There is a blockage somewhere.
