What would cause a fuel system fuse to blow when you try to start a Chrysler Lebaron 3.0 gtc?

short in the wiring or the fuel pump itself. When you put the key in and turn it to just before start, do you hear a whining sound coming from the tank (basically I'm asking if you can hear the fuel pump prime the system). You might need a friend to help you listen for this.

Check your distributor cap, make sure your not getting moisture in it...lebaron and Chrysler 3.0 have a common problem with the screws on the dist. cap to be corroded and break off. quite possible this problem is as simple as replacing your dist cap.

I believe I have an answer for this, or somewhat of and answer. I have a 1995 Chrysler LeBaron, and I have had it stall on me while it is running, or when stopped at a stop sign, then it not be able to start back up for a while, or sometimes it will start right up. I googled it one day, and what I stumbled across was that it supposedly is the fuel pump. The 1994 and 1995 LeBaron has a faulty issue with the fuel pump that causes the engine to stall, and a few of the warning lights to come on. I have had this happen to me about 4 or 5 times, and all in convienient locations. I found this question googling for more information on the topic. If I could site the page I read that at, I would. But if you google it, I am sure you will come across the same info I have. OR, try calling your Chrysler dealership. I have yet to do so, being as how ours just closed in town.

re:why won't my lebaron start. I left out some details.... It just quit starting one day. I replaced the relay fuse on the advice of a friend ,but it didn't affect it at all. The is no click or any sounds indicating that it is even trying to start. IF there is no click it sounds like starter or bad connection to starter Check wires to starter and battery posts for corrosion first

did you make sure the #1 piston was top dead center and that when you set your timing that the springs where without tension? if not its out of time

if it is a factory alarm, you have to unlock the door with a key from the outside. most likely the switch is busted on the drivers side so try the passengers side. if it works, go buy a switch for the drivers side. the switch is on the end of door lock cylinder.

may be on top of the starter and replaced with same. Follow the + battery cable it will connect to the solenoid
