The carburetor may flood if dirt enters the needle valve and prevents it from closing.
A carburetor can also flood if the float inside the fuel bowl is set too high or develops a leak and sinks (this applies to hollow brass or plastic floats primarily).
It depends on if you have a carburetor or fuel injection but it is probably in the throttle body. You could have trash in your throttle body or the throttle body is worn out.
first flood on world first flood on world
bad injecter, o-rings are bad, need to either rebuild or replace
throttle body
I would check the fuel filter, fuel pump,or have your injectors cleaned, but pumping the gas is not helping on a throttle body all you are doing is giving it more gas which means you are going to flood it. You don't pump throttle body, you do the carburetor
Damage to the throttle body is caused by corrosion or direct impacts. A loose connection can cause nearby components to strike and damage the throttle body.
Could be a bad throttle body
Poor manufacturing
That would be throttle body injection (TBI).
Have you recently un hooked your battery if so your ecm module will reset to factory settings check your throttle body and clean .If your throttle body is dirty this will cause your problem .When the battery is unhooked the ecm will reset and if the the throttle body is dirty ,the heat or ac will shut engine off
Gas pouring out of the throttle body would probably be caused by a leaking injector seal.
The throttle body base gasket would be located between the throttle body and the intake manifold.
