what do you mean? did they stop working, work now and then, or what is working and what not? if everthing is dead and the truck runs ok, then ckeck the fuses, but im not sure at all it could be PCM related.
Check for a blown fuse.
Saturns do not use a speedometer cable to control the gauges on the cluster. It uses the magnetic pickup located in the vehicle speed sensor, mounted in the back side of the transmission. The computer then sends signals to the dashboard to operate the gauges electronically
Is it all the gauges or some? You make have to take the instrumental cluster apart. Make sure all the hardness for the gauges are all connected.
Check the gauges fuse ... may be a short, bad wire or a bad ground. Doesn't happen open but your cluster may be bad as well. NELSON
Check fuses under dashboard, driver side.
The year, make and model would help but with some vehicles all the dash cluster gauges are protected with one fuse.
Yes.
Your speedometer may have failed, or the speedometer cable that connects to the transmission, or the plastic gear in the transmission may be broken.
You'd have to change the entire gauge cluster. IE the tachometer and speedometer. The light bulb is a white light, and the gauges are colored red so in order to change the color of the gauges youd have to buy a custom made cluster. You'd have to change the entire gauge cluster. They might be broken, check with a mechanic, its illegal to drive when they are broken.
A common reason for this is a cracked circuit board in the instrument panel. Do any of the warning lights come on at the same time (ABS, for example)? If you smack the dashboard with your hand sometimes you can make the gauges come on again. It'll likely need a new instrument cluster. --Dennis, ASE Master Tech
