chk. compression,150 is normal, about 120 or less in no. 6 and it will miss at idle, but you wont feel it under a load.
1: Replace the injector. 2: If still misfiring, replace the engine.
a tune up will fix that If plugs and wires do not fix you may want coil tested if still not fixed look at injector
Bad spark plug wires or spark plugs can cause your 1994 Chevrolet S 10 two misfire. A plugged fuel filter can also cause the vehicle to misfire.
this could be caused by a fuel problem, not spark. check to see if your getting spark to the plug. ck to see if the injector is firing, and run a compression test on that cylinder
check wire routing, order, or if replace is needed, after that check compression, head gasket,or crack in head.
Check out the following website for a outline of what to look for when encountering this problem: http://www.oqcgp.com/forum/kb.php?mode=article&k=59 Hope this helps. "G"
I have a 02 focus with a p0303 code. It is a misfire on cyl 3. I have replaced the plus and the plug wires and i still have the problem.
Assuming the plugs and wires have already been replaced you may have a bad fuel injector.
you might check the coilpak
i would check the wires, you might have a short to power which would keep the injectors open all the time.
Probably have a bad ignition coil Which cylinder is not firing?
Have you checked the injector? Try switching the plug and/or wire to another cylinder to see if the misfire travels with them. That check engine means cylinder 4 misfire so I would still check the gap and make sure that the spark plug is good even though they are new another suggestion is the coil pack. And a much less likely suggestion is that you lost compression but that's easy to test just take cylinder 4 spark plug out and put a compression gauge in and manually turn the motor over by the crankshaft.
