Not running on all cylinders Could be: Bad plugs Bad Wires Burned Valve Bad Piston Plugged catalytic converter Do compression test Possibly none of the above. No power under a load could be the torque converter. TCC solenoid wire is on a connector that is at the rear of the engine in the bell housing easily seen once the air filter is removed. With a voltmeter check the voltage on the white wire should be 12vdc. It is similar to trying to pull off from a light in 3rd gear with a standard tranny. It could be stuck in lock up mode (overdrive). Take it to a transmission man.
Is it accompanied by a shuddering or vibration? You could likely have bad brake rotors.
The transmission is not shifting in and out of gear or your front joint is going bad
Crossed wires! or a wire not pushed all the way down, or Possibly but highly unlikely a bad wire
what would cause a 150cc scooter to lose power?
On the 2.3 Quad 4 Skylark engine the power steering pump is at the front of the engine block behind the radiator, Usualy where you would see the oil dipstick. The cap should say power steering fluid. Check the dipstick that is on the cap, and fill until the dipstick reads full.
I would say that you are losing coolant somewhere hoses, water pump, radiator.
I'm not sure, but it may be time to have the transmission serviced.
It could just be that metal attachment that actually unlocks the door coming loose. If you still hear a noise when you engage the lock/unlock switch, that's probably what it is.
Try changeing the fuel filter,I had the same problem and it helped.
Could be many things, but the most common are fouled spark plugs or a bad fuel filter.
A lack of oil in the engine./ the sensor in the oil system./ broken oil pump
the most likely cause of that would be the power steering pump failing.
