Friction
It would be against the law for a motor manufacturer to fit a light which could cause the brakes to fail.
Your vehicle is equipped with abs and anti lock brakes, when applied hard enough the system interprets it as a panic stop and pulses the brakes to prevent lock up and skidding.
Most common cause would be a loose brake caliper mounting bolts.
Usually the fuse is going bad.
Is it the parking brake light or the ABS light? is it red light or amber?
Bring to a shop that has an ABS scanner to determine problem with ABS light Sounds like rotors may be out of round causing shimmy need to be resurfaced or replaced
In general, warped brake rotors will cause a vehicle to shake when the brakes are applied. If the problem is severe, it will also have some impact on the ability of the driver to control the car when braking. If a car shudders or shakes when the brakes are applied but is otherwise smooth when driven, the brakes are a most logical cause. only thing i know that will make brkes grind, is worn out brakesmaybe have em checked at a different mechanic
The bulb could be 'blown'. Remove the working bulb from the other light and try it in the socket of the one that isn't working.
Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir there is a sensor there that will make the light come on if your level is low.
you need to replace your brake pads. if you don't, in due time, they will wear down and put grooves on your rotors and that is NO bueno.
