i have a 1995 LS 4dr...just had to go through the mondo task of replacing head gaskets...you may not have this problem yet,,but what you do have is a temp sensor that is caught in an air bubble...in my case my head gasket was seeping and pushing hot gasses into the water jacket and pushing coolant into my overflow tank...the space made after the motor cools down is an air bubble travleing through your coolant system... goto www.Acura-legend.com and do a thread search...LOTS of relevant info there....good luck....
when they run good, there is no match for the $$$....Acura Legend, owning one and affording one are two different things...
Running your heater allows more cooling time for the water in the system. Check your water or coolant level to make sure you have plenty of water in the system.
Cornucopia (literally translates to "horn of plenty"), buffet, and smorgasbord (if you are feeling a bit Jewish), are a few suggestions.
There is a low level sensor in the side of the radiator. They do go bad.
the coolant level sensor is probably stuck it is on the bottom of coolant resivior most times all it takes is a tap with the handle end of the screwdriver on the side of the res where sensor is
a/c has a low charge
Check your coolant sensor for built up sludge, or the sensor may need replacement.
An Internet search gives plenty of suggestions for online shopping.
To change to the heater core on a 1996 Tacoma you first need to drain the coolant from the cooling system. Be prepared for a mess and have plenty of towels to soak up any excess leakage. After you have drained the cooling system remove the fasteners, clamps and plates. Give a good upward pull to remove the core. If you are using the same core, clean it thoroughly before reinstalling. Follow the same steps in reverse to install.
Weak starter? Cooling system airbound? Water pump not circulating coolant?
1 gallon of full streangth should be plenty, butch
It is one of two things: Level of coolant in radiator/overflow or the level of windshield wiper fluid. ---------- Low coolant. Check your coolant level as soon as possible. ~Pengauin
Well, the first 10 minutes of Up is pretty tear-jerking. Any other suggestions?
