This activates a solenoid (electromagnetic switch) on the water inflow line, which opens the valve. When the valve is open, pressured cold water from your regular home supply comes into the shower... This valve is controlled by the huge temperature dial that you crank to make the water hotter or colder as needed.
When it comes into contact with something cold (likes tiles in your bathroom when you shower) the vapour condenses into water.
I used to live in an apartment building that I noticed this problem...it comes from drain pipes connecting to each other, possibly not completely draining out, leaving used water in the drain pipes. I use to pour some bleach down the bathroom shower/tub drain....and the bathroom sink every couple of days before I left for work...fresh as a daisy when I got home!
the shower and bath water comes from two different places so their is two different pipes. Get the shower pipe checked out by a plummer and they cause fix the pipe.

They form after you wash, take a shower or take a bath because the steam that comes up from the hot water rises and sticks or clings to the mirror and they gather more evaporated water as they go.
Condense comes from the word "condensation". It is the process of moisture forming on a solid object from evaporated water. For example, when you take a shower, the steam is formed from water, which later is found condensed on your bathroom mirror. ~Ashton
