Hydrilla is an aquatic plant which means that it naturally grows in water. If one placed hydrilla twigs in a beaker of water, the twigs would begin to sprout roots and would eventually grow leaves if the environment was conducive to growth.

Normally this would have to do with the origin and location of the plant. Long, thin leaves offer less resistance to water flow; these types of plants are normally found in fast, running water. Note: Not all underwater plants have narrow, thin leaves!
if stomata would bepresent in underwater plants water will enter through the stomata fill the plant. Hence their is no Stomata in underwater plants.
The fish would dry out even if it is underwater.
