body mounts, they are junk along with 90% of the rest of the truck. at least you dont have a squeak, a rear window that wont open, windshield wipers that only work on hi, and a steering wheel you cant adjust because if you do the wiring harness inside steering coloumn will pull wires out. GREAT JOB Ford engineers you guys are brilliant
On a 1997 Ford Explorer : The right side kick panel would be inthe front passenger footwell It is the interior trim panel , just in front of the front door , by the passengers feet
On your Ford Explorer , 4x4 , you have a leak at the PASSENGER side front axle seal ( I have had my passenger side front axle seal changed 3 times now on my 1995 Ford Explorer ) The seal doesn't cost very much , the cost is the labor and I would say it takes about 1 and 1/4 hours to do the job
My guess would be the camshaft sensor, or idler pully, or water pump, or your compressor
Explorer has an emergency shut off switch for the electric fuel pump which may cut the fuel supply. It is triggered in a collision. The switch is located at the foot of the front passenger seat. Check the shocks first they will squeak pretty bad when going out ( dried out seals ). Bushings will squeak but they would have to be pretty bad to do it when just pushing on the front end.
It's the upper strut bushings. It probably will gwt worse when it's cold.
I would need to know what year of Ford Explorer it is
I have a bad sqeak in the front end of my 2001 Escape. I have not found what is causing this issue. But it appears to be something with the power steering. This annoying squeak only happens when I turn the steering. If you find out anything else on this issue it would be a great help.
Squeak is a verb and a noun. Verb: That door squeaks. Noun: I wish someone would fix the squeak.
It's probably nothing to do with your steering. Sounds like you could have a bearing problem. Squeaking is usually an indication of vibration, so my educated guess on this would be something is wrong with your passenger side wheel bearing. [added by cilynx] It turned out to be the simple answer: brake pads.
well when they squeak or whatever they do there ECHO goes in all directions, and it goes to the other narwhal. but if it were ECHOLOCATION then when the squeak or whatever would go in all directions then bounce back off the object it was looking for or whatever that was in front of them.
