Sound like a wheel bearing for sure.

when turning or when ridin?
the front end load bearing or other bearing in the gearbox will be stuffed. when you engage the clutch the gearbox doesnt have any drive thru it so stops turning and then you noise stops.
A Geo Metro is a front wheel drive vehicle. When a squealing noise occurs when the wheel is turning, it can be an indication of damage to the CV joints.
water/friction
CV joints are going bad... about 70 buck$ a peice. Right and left
A bad cv joint/axle shaft on the front will make a clicking noise when turning.
not sure sound like it comes from front suspension
If it is a thumping and a front wheel drive car, it is probably one of the axles.
all of them do it theres just a bolt on each of the two front wheels that touch when turning all the way
Front cv joints most likely
A bad bearing can cause can the front end of car to make a squeaking noise when turning steering wheel either direction. It can also be caused by bad suspension.
Going to guess that this is a FWD and noise is from front and no noise while going straight?? Possible outer CV joint or loose front end part
