To be honest, my recommendation is to start looking for a new job, in your spare time. Get a resume together and start answering ads, asking people you know (outside of work) if they know of any jobs, etc. The old cliche that it's easier to find a job when you already have one, is absolutely true. It would be great if you could do a teriffic job and convince your boss not to let you go. Maybe you can sit down with him or her and have a frank discussion, so you understand the situation from his point of view. Mabe you can improve the situation enough so you won't get fired. But, my experience is that the best time to start looking for a new job is the first time you think your current job might be in jeopardy.

Can you get fired for reporting your boss?

Yes you can, although the company will swear that you can not. This is how it works: You report boss, boss finds out, boss makes work unbearable for you. You mess up because you are stressed, boss now has excuse for firing you. Your fired.

Your boss accidentally calls you his wifes name often?

If a boss calls a person by their wife's name, it may mean he is thinking about his wife. It could also just be an accident and not mean anything.

He was your first boss or he is your first boss?

"He was your first boss" if you are writing/speaking in past tense, like telling a story. "He is your first boss" if you are writing in future tense, like writing a guide/walkthrough. If the person is still alive, you would not be incorrect in saying "He is my first boss." If you say "He was..." it might be presumed he is no longer among the living. It is not unusual to hear your boss' boss called your second boss. That would make your immediate boss your first boss.
