minimum = all the usual commercial certificates, BS degree, 1500 hours total flight time, 1000 hours pilot in command of jet or multiengine turboprop
but don't bother as UPS isn't hiring and has no one retireing in 2008 - you would need to exceed the minimums above quite a bit to have any chance at all if they were hiring
after getting your commercial pilot licence the best route is get whatever freight job you can flying twin turboprops - most flight training is on the job experience just building up hours whenever and wherever you can - to fly the big commercial planes you must have most of your flight time in twin turbos - flying freight is a hard job and you better like flying a lot to do it - most small jobs are late night early morning hours, you usually load your own plan and you gotta be fast and on time - and usually you fly alone - you live on coffe and energy drinks
AddendumCollege degrees are not a requirement for pilot positions at most airlines, but like anything else, the more qualifications you have, the better your chances. The bottom line is, that if an airline is hiring and they need pilots, they will adjust their requirements downwards until their needs are met. When the market is flush with pilots, an airline can hold out for an astronaut with a PhD...Also, the foregoing answer is correct about flying fright...although things have changed a lot in the freight industry, cargo pilots used to have a saying that went, "Sun down, gear up. Sun up, gear down!"
Going to training in a flight or pilot school.

In order to become a helicopter pilot you must get a license. In order to get a license you must have a certain amount of hours of training in a helicopter.
You do not have to jump out of a plane to become a pilot. A person only has to complete pilot training courses and log enough hours of both trained and solo flight to become a pilot.
You have to go to flight school
get a pilot license and ask boieng company probaly
you can become a pilot by taking any stream comm.,non med..... top most inistitute in pilot training is in up.........
That is now impossible. To become an astronaut, you have to be admitted to their Astronaut Training Program.
Pilot training is for you to spend your own airplane for the PPL and CPL courses for commercial aircraft.
It depends what kind of pilot you mean. A private pilot's licence can be achieved with as little as 40 hours of flying lessons (plus successful completion of the relevant theory exams). To become a commercial pilot requires much more training.
