The 96 and 97 4L60E transmission are THE ONLY 2 YEARS THAT WILL FIT
They were NOT used on that year.
no cabin filters until 2000 model year
I just replaced the transmission on my 1996 Chevy Suburban. It was $2300 with a 3 year guarantee. This was a rebuilt trans. I could have gotten a used one for $900 with a 30 day guarantee or $1900 with a 90 day.
Late 1996 to 1998 year 4L60E Transmissions will work with no problems.
1988 - 1998
If it is a 1/2 ton then it MUST have the 1996 or 1997 4L60E put back in it. If it is a 3/4 ton then it must have the 1996 or 1997 4L80E put in it.
NO, it won't even bolt up to the engine block. In the late month of 1999 chevy REDESIGNED all the transmissions and engines. nothing under the year of 1999 will interchange with anything above 1999
The year 1995 was the final year Chevy offered a diesel engine in the SurburbanThis is not true i have a 1999 2500 Chevy suburban diesel engine and believe that was the last year they offered it.
Most all suburban that year are 4x4
what year transmissions will fit HHR
I believe that to be an '01
These are the 2 transmissions used that year by chevy. 1/2 Ton trucks have the 4L60E transmissions in them ONLY. The 3/4 tons used the 4L80E trans. in them.
