Whatever happened to Father James Haley of the Arlington Diocese?

Father James Haley is a whistleblower who has been silenced by Bishop Paul Loverde of the Arlington Diocese after attempting to stop a priest who was having a public affair with the wife of a parishoner. The priest got the woman pregnant, married her, got a job with the Anglican Church in Atlanta and moved there with the woman's four children after she divorced her husband. Bishop Loverde then transferred Father Haley to the parish of a priest in Springfield who Fr. Haley accused of embezzling from the collection plate. Bishop Loverde silenced Fr. Haley after Fr. Haley revealed confidential and information of an investigation to the press smearing his fellow priests. Many of these accusations were later proved to be false. Last I heard he was making a living, getting a stipend from the diocese while the Vatican rules on this matter. The Bishop pursued canon law proceedings to deprive Father Haley of practicing the sacraments. The Vatican has done nothing to help Father Haley. This has all been documented in The Washngton Post and the Washington Times.

There are many versions as to what happened and this is strictly Fr. Haley's version. I was not able to find a response from the Diocese of Arlington when searched on the internet. I will try to find one this week. The priest that embezzeled money was later found innocent of all charges by the church and by an independent panel. He has elected to continue as a Catholic priest outside of the Diocese of Arlington.
