I.S.52 Floribel Rodriguez 711 March 3, 2008 Poetry Project Victor Hernandez Cruz would always wear white suits while he read his poems. He is a bilingual poet and wrote both English and Spanish poems. One of his poems that I enjoyed reading was "Problems with Hurricanes." Some of the devices that this poem has are similes, personification, repetition and much more. Also, another poem that I liked and have recently read is "Islam." This poem really taught me that I shouldn't judge a book by its cover. For example, in this poem it talks about how the narrator loves Islam, while other people don't. In my opinion, you shouldn't talk about a place without actually experiencing it and actually visiting it. Some of the devices that this great poem has are, similes, which is when Victor describes how the Caribbean dancers look like angels. Also, he uses personification. What I like about his poems is that he doesn't just use one language he uses both English and Spanish and it's great, because people that on I.S.52 Floribel Rodriguez 711 March 3, 2008 Poetry ProjectVictor Hernandez Cruz would always wear white suits while he read his poems. Sound Waves.
amplifyer
A horn or megaphone can act as a funnel for sound waves, amplifying and directing them in a specific direction. This is achieved by gradually narrowing the opening of the device, which helps to focus and project the sound waves more effectively.
A megaphone amplifies sound by capturing and directing sound waves through a cone-shaped structure, which increases the volume of the sound. The shape of the megaphone helps to focus and project the sound waves in a specific direction, allowing the sound to travel over long distances without losing much of its intensity.
How the music beats effect the sound and sound waves.
Megaphones amplify sound by directing and focusing sound waves through a cone-shaped structure. This helps to increase the volume of the sound. The shape of the megaphone also helps to project the sound over long distances by concentrating the sound waves in a specific direction, allowing them to travel further without losing intensity.
To test which materials carry sound waves best for a science project, you can set up an experiment where you measure the sound transmission through different materials like metal, wood, plastic, and glass using a sound source and a decibel meter. Record the data and analyze which material produced the highest sound transmission. This will help you determine which material carries sound waves best.
