I drove my 206 for over a year with no radio/CD player because it suddenly stopped working and I couldn't work out why. (neither could my local Peugeot garage as they informed me they are not experts in stereo equipment and recommended I either buy another stereo or take it to a radio expert.) I checked the fuse in the back of the stereo itself and waggled all the wires in case of a loose connection. Neither of these made any difference In the end I removed the fuse from the fuse box (it hadn't blown) and re-inserted it and all of sudden the display lit up and the screen flashed requesting the radio code. Luckily I had this to hand and after putting in the radio code it started to work and has done ever since! I still don't know why it suddenly stopped working as the fuse hadn't blown but taking the fuse out of the fuse box and re-inserting seemed to do the trick for me.
