I've been perusing Nursing, and I'm almost a certified nurse. I really want to be a MFT. I love psychology. But I don't know how that would work or how long it would take. I don't know how log it would take or how it would work if I had gotten my AA in psychology. I need help!
I want to know step by step so I have my education plan worked out. I'm lost :(

You do not get a RN (Registered Nurse) degree. To become a RN you earn an associate degree in nursing then take the state nursing exam. If you pass you are then a RN. You can also get a 4 year degree in nursing, which will make you even more marketable. Then, you would be an RN with a BSN. You still have to take the state nursing exam.
In order to become a pediatric nurse you need to volunteer at a hosptal while you are in high school. This will help with your expierience. Then before you graduate you have to take a test called the NLN which your guidance counselor can tell you about. If you look on the internet for the NLN it will surely prepare you for whats on it. Then after you PASS the test you become a RN (registered nurse) and you need to apply for Medical school which can vary from 2-3 years. After that or during that schooling you need to have your bachelors in Science and you need to get you AA degree in Nursing Science and Nursing English. The nursing AA degree in science is NOT the same as your bachelor degree in Science. Then when you are done with all that schooling you become a nurse and you can go to college for 2 more years to specialize in anything such as PEDIATRIC NURSING. If working in a hospital, the highest rank an RN can go with nursing in their title is Chief Nursing Officer. Highest ranks outside the hospital are Assistant Surgeon General - through the military or civilian career pathways. Very Prestigious! A nurse may also become a CEO, Board Member or Entrepreneur.
MD is a medical doctor, they went to medical school. An RN is a registered nurse, they like the doctor went to college but did not attend medical school, instead a special nursing school.
