I think you have a 3.1 liter engine in a 1990 Lumina. To change the crank sensor, jack up and support the right side of the car. It needs to be high enough to lay on your back just behind the engine. Turn the front wheels full left, remove the right front wheel. I you look between the oil pan and the transmission up on the back side of the engine you will see the sensor. Follow the twisted 2 wire cable to the sensor. If you take your right arm you can work it in from the wheel well and just reach the bolt on the sensor. It is hard but it can be done. Once the bolt is out you can twist the sensor back and forth to loosen it. Then pull it straight out.

The 1999 Chevy Lumina 3.1 liter engine crankshaft position sensor is located on the back of the crankshaft. A diagram can be obtained from most Chevrolet dealerships.

That year model did not use are have a crank sensor.
Assuming that it is a 3.1 V6, as most of them are, there is no cam sensor. Only a crankshaft sensor. It is located behind the harmonic balancer. To replace it the balancer has to be removed.
