Anti-lock? As in "Anti-Lock Brakes"? Many cars don't come equipped with Anti-Lock Braking Systems. If you car is supposed to have anti-lock brakes and they are not working properly, you should have them fixed. You should never drive around with faulty brakes.
Cars have improved in many ways. The advent of seat belts, safety glass, anti-lock brakes, air bags, power steering and power brakes have all improved cars.
You bleed the brakes just like you bleed any other cars brakes, there is no special way to bleed anti-lock brakes.

Not that I have heard of. The aggressive application of brakes in any instance may cause wires or hoses to come loose on the engine though.
ABS stands for anti-lock braking system. the idea is that when you depress your brakes hard the car slows quickly but the wheels do not lock up.

Yes a DIY'er can replace pads on cars that have anti lock brakes, the pads have nothing to do with operating mechanisms of the anti lock system. good luck.

Most likely you do not have anti-lock brakes in your vehicle. Other possible answer is that your anti-lock brakes are malfunctioning. If you have anti-lock brakes you should see a mechanic as soon as possible.
