When beginning to focus the lowest-power lens should be used?

true

What power must be in place when you first find an image in the microscope?

You should first use the lowest power setting of a microscope to find an object and then center it within the viewing area. Then, when you switch to the next higher magnification, your target should still be close to the center and easier to find and focus on.

Why is it helpful for a microscope to be parfocal?

Once the object is in focus with lowest power, it should also be almost in focus with the higher power.

What is the proper use of the microscope?

When carrying t you should hold the neck with one hand and he base would the other hand. Then plug it in and start the focus on the lowest objective I believe. Afterwards everytime you change the focus look away and then look into the microscope so as to prevent disorientation.

What are the steps used to focus a microscope on high power?

First focus the microscope on the lowest objective using first the coarse djustment knob and then the fine adjustment knob. Once you have it in focus, move on and do the same for the next highest objective. Continue this process until you reach the highest objective and focus it in the same fashion.

How should you first focus on a specimen when using the microscope?

start by focusing with the lowest lens to make sure the slide is right and you can see the specimen them proceed to the next lens power and focus again just to make the view clear then proceed to the highest and focus one more time

What is coarse focus used for?

Coarse focus on a microscope is used only when you are using the lowest objective lens. You use it to get the object magnified mostly. The fine focus is then used to adjust the resolution to the viewer's eyesight.

Which objective do you use to focus a microscope?

what objective use to focus a microscope

What is the proper procedure for focusing the microscope?

start with the lowest objective then adjest your focus. After, switch your objective if needed going from lower to higher

why should preliminary focusing of microscope be done upward?

It will bring an object into focus..

What are the steps to focus a microscope?

Depending on the microscope the steps differ but assuming you are using a light microscope (the only microscope you will use before university). The microscope must be set to the lowest magnification with the stage set as far way as possible (the platform the sample is held on). Then using the coarse focus (the larger knob) bring the stage towards the lens while looking though the eye piece when the sample comes into focus use the fine focus knob (the smaller knob) to bring the image to optimum focus. When this is achieved increases the magnification (by changing to a stronger lens) and using fine focus continue to focus the image and keep repeating the steps till a max focus is achieved. If more information is need let me know as there are more complicated techniques but this should be enough for before a university level depending on what country you are in.
