Sorry but the answer is wrong, Missouri our Municipal Judges are non attorney Judges. Meaning their oath to uphold the Laws does not have the same responsibility to be correct as an attorney. The schooling and Bar insures that a Lawyer is competent in the Laws in his area of expertise. Thus a local judge in a small town of Dixon can imprison the child of parents until they can reimburse the city $2,000.00 for her jail boarding. The poor who can not afford to pay or afford to hire an attorney does not have the same rights as a wealthy parent would. Don't tell me it can not happen it is right now in Dixon Missouri to my daughter. The elected non attorney City Judge has a personal grudge with me and is holding my daughter as ransom till I pay. He quoted today 01/05/2015 when I called and explained that she is in Drug treatment, that for $1,000.00 he would lift the Warrant for her arrest.. I am disabled and home bound living on a disability my daughter mother is all so disabled living on a SSI check. I need a Attorney to help fight this to get a court ruling to stop this illegal and Unconstitutional action going on in Missouri right now. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP MY DAUGHTER GET OUT OF MISSOURI PRISON FOR OWING A DEBT TO THE CITY OF DIXON.
