It is illegal to refuse emergency medical service, even if the person is an illegal immigrant

refuse his invitation
If you present as an Emergency admission, American hospitals must treat you as specified under EMTALA (Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act). If you do NOT present as an emrgency admit, you may or may not get treated. Your chances of entering as an emergency case increase if you are brought into an Emergency Room and/or come in via ambulance.
Refuse Refuse
It is illegal (under federal EMTALA rules) for hospitals to refuse emergency care. However, they can refuse non-emergent care, especially in their various clinics and outpatient departments.

But, private ones, like any business, can refuse to grant you credit, so unless you are prepared to give a deposit (or some provision) ample to assure payment of your charges, (once you are stable), can transfer you to a facility that will take you. If you aren't requiring emergency care, they can refuse you admittance.
this is an ethical grey area, as the data was achieved by torturing and killing people, many refuse to use it.
You can refuse if the person asks, but if you are in public and he takes it anyway, there is nothing you can do about it.
It depends on where your area is, if it has an emergency room or not. Most hospitals though should have an emergency room though. Here in this area though, Williamson County hospital has one as well as Vanderbilt hospital.
