As long as there as been government England has been butting in on Ireland. The earliest I am aware of is in the 1300's England started to ban all things Ireland IN IRELAND! Including language, clothing, culture, etc. In 1998 independence was granted to The republic of Ireland, which included most of Ireland save the Northern 6 counties which became Northern Ireland and is still a part of English rule today.

The first invasion can be traced as far back as 1169. There have been various other instances in Irish history of British people being planted in Ireland, most notably the Ulster Plantation in the early 17th century.

Irish people have been going to Britain for thousands of years. At their closest, there is a small gap between them, and you can see Britain from Ireland, so people have been going there by sea for thousands of year and still do. Nowadays they of course also fly.

That is a complex question. An answer can go as far back as 1169. Between then and the 1922, there are many significant years, far too many to mention in full.
