Originally Hitler came from Braunau am Inn - a small town in Austria, very close to the German border... Later he moved to Linz and then to Vienna. Hitler relocated to Munich in 1913 ... but Austria and Germany fought together during ww1. And... the fact Hitler was Austrian doesn't say anything about their attitude... austrians are very sympathic.
Vic
lol, what do you mean by quit?
He supposedly shot him self in his under ground bunker before the Russians could get to him.
The reason I say supposedly is because there have been other theories on what happened in his bunker but that he and Eva committed suicide is whats written in the history books. ______________________________________________________________ I think the question may refer to when Hitler left the German Army at the end of World War 1. He was probably discharged sometime in 1918. Although Hitler was often seen in uniform after then, it was a Nazi uniform, and the Nazis seized power in Germany illegally in 1933. As Chancellor of Germany, Hitler wore a uniform resembling that of a German officer as part of his image, but he was never legally in the German Army again after World War 1, during which he never held a rank higher than corporal. _______________________________________________________________ Nevertheless, on Hindenburg's death all German soldiers had to take an oath of personal loyalty to Hitler - there was no reference anywhere in the oath to 'his lawful successors - and he became in effect C-in-C, Lord Chief Soldier of the Reich, or whatever one chooses to call it.
Your question is unclear. Leave what? leave where? Since much of the war was fought in Germany it is safe to say they didn't leave their country. The rest of Europe was invaded by them starting in 1939 and when the allies landed in France in 1944 they fought through Europe to Germany. So, the German forces were killed, pulled back, retreated, or taken as POW's as the battle areas raged through out Europe.
He "left" Germany when he died in April 1945...The Red Army overan Berlin and he committed suicide. His body was partially burned under his orders, in order to hide his remains.
No, the German army was the army for Germany and the Nazi's was a party created by Adolf Hitler during his rise of the Third Reich. Since Hitler was the Furher the German army fought for Hitler during the war
Adolf Hitler's Private Army is called Sturm Abteilung in German. In English, it is called Storm Section.
Hitler was Austrian and should have joined the Austro-Hungarian army, also he joined the German army because he didn't made it into the art school in Austria two times.
The 1936 German occupation of the Rhineland was met by Hitler's troops. Hitler created the reoccupation of the Rhineland military forces to build up his own army.
The Nazis or Axis Hitler's private army were the Sturmabteilung or the SA, but the German army is the Gestapo or the SS. The Axis is the name of the World War II ally group that Germany was in and was against the Allies. Hope that helps.
