How did Germany take over Austria and Czechoslovakia?
Austria was easy. The people voted nearly unanimously to join Germany and all Hitler had to do was occupy the capital. Czechoslovakia was harder. Hitler announced that a portion of Czechoslovakia spoke Germany and should belong to Germany. That region, known as the Sudentenland, was awarded to Hitler at the Munich Conference in return for promising to leave the rest Europe alone. Hitler broke that promise when he used military force to takeover the rest of Czechoslovakia.
