This happened in and around the middle 1970's when the families and youths of friends told Ricardo ( Ras Cardo ) Scott about the problem. He then contacted the then assistant head master- Father Maurice Feres S.J. Who interceded and made this possible for the youths to wear their hairs in dreadlocks. The rule was established that the hair could not cause anyone in the class to not clearly see the teacher or the black-board. St. Georges college was the creme de la creme of all high schools in Jamaica and certain rules were established to keep it that way. It was a school of academic excellence, religion in Catholicism, attracting the best of the best. Strict rules were the order of the day. Ricardo Scott was then a past student with good relationships and respect for the Jesuits and they trusted his judgment. Ricardo has more detailed information on all these issues. The general Jamaican populus are still not aware of the many things Ricardo has in his archives from days past.
By this action , today we see youths attending the school and other schools because of what Ras cardo did on this issue.
You would never have known these truths had Ras cardo not told you.

Yes, wearing uniforms in Japanese schools is standard practice.
Teachers in schools would like students to wear uniforms in schools because it makes them look decent and ready to learn. If all students wore shirts and jeans in school, they could only be focused on who's clothes is better. Uniforms fix that problem. If everybody wears uniforms, nobody will argue, since all students are wearing the same thing.
some schools may not want their students to end up wearing inappropriate clothes or clothes that can cause problems. research says that schools that have students that wear uniforms are more educated, but the truth is that it doesn't make much effect besides the fact people may judge you or make fun of what your wearing just because it doesn't fit in to the newest trends!

Some schools have dress codes that prohibit wearing hats indoors as a sign of respect and as a way to promote a professional or uniform appearance among students. Additionally, wearing hats can hinder face-to-face communication and may create a barrier between students and teachers.
There are several schools of thought on this, but the general consensus is "yes". One theory suggests that students who wear uniforms and who do not have to worry about wearing the latest fashions are free to concentrate more on their studies. They are less concerned about maintaining a high standing among their peers. Also, schools which enforce either an appropriately regulated dress code or the wearing of a uniform with respect and pride are more likely to see a better overall attitude of students to their schoolwork.
german schools have no uniform which is cool but still australian schools look more official and show pride by wearing a uniform you can also tell the diffrence between schools by wearing a uniform.
