"Vote fraud " is a crime and in the US innocence is assumed until guilt is proven. Indeed there were suspicions of vote fraud , particularly in Cook County, IL , and the election was close enough for people to speculate that fraud swung the election to Kennedy, but few, if any, reliable historians affirm that Kennedy was elected by fraud. There were similar suspicions raised in the 2000 election when Bush defeated Gore and there was a huge controversy concerning the credentials of the electors when Hayes was elected in 1876.
